At what age can your child join the Piou Piou club?
From 3 years old. At this age, children want to socialise and the Piou-Piou club's activities and equipment will allow them to learn to ski in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It is an imaginary world specially designed for children to motivate them and to introduce them to the snow environment with their skis on. The psychological and physical characteristics of children between 3 and 5 years old are taken into account. Through the discovery of the key characters of the Piou-Piou Club, children will progressively become independent on their skis.
Do the lessons take place in the morning, the afternoon or the whole day?
The day's programme is established with respect to the children's rhythms. Apart from the lessons on the slopes, the time is divided between food breaks, pee breaks, games and discovery of the snow and mountain environment... If you see your little skier without their skis when you pass by the club, remember that these moments are essential, as children get tired quickly and their attention span is very short. - For 3/4 year-old children: half-day sessions are recommended. If your child wakes up early, the morning lessons are the best solution. However, if your child sleeps a lot, we recommend the afternoon lessons. - For 5 year-old children and over: The full day lessons are possible. A lunch break and a quiet time before the afternoon lesson is recommended.
What if your child doesn't ski the first day?
Your child may need a little more time to get used to their environment, to find their bearings, to discover a new world... Let your child take their time, observe, play, jump, run, slide on the snow with their ski boots. All that is necessary to get familiar with the snow and the ski equipment.
What if your child cries the first day?
The Piou-Piou Club professionals have enough experience to know why children usually cry and how to react. Communication with the parents is also a priority for us. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about your child's well-being.
